Today I worked on matching the colors from my source image for the minnow to colors to the digital range of colors offered on Krita. My current rendition of the Fathead Minnow reminds me of a caricature, as my minnow seemed to be frowning disapprovingly at me as I worked today. An interesting challenge with these drawings is trying to limit the number of different colors I use, as I am aiming for a more simplified look. One of my favorite parts of this fish is the lateral band that I drew, which I outlined in two different blue-grey colors. I will most likely simplify this a bit more in the fins and add some more shape to each section.
